Fresh off a championship 2002-03 season, Western Kentucky University women's basketball coach Mary Taylor Cowles announced today that she has signed two players to start the late signing period. Charlotte Marshall and Shardae Butler both signed an National Letter of Intent to play for the Lady Toppers, and will join early signees Natalia Benton, Amber Holt and Cacie Pope in the Lady Toppers' 2003-04 freshman class. Tennessee 86-83 in the final March 11. They are led by senior forward Shala Reese, the Sun Belt player of the year. She averaged 15.8 points and a team-best 9.1 rebounds per contest. Reese and junior guard Leslie Logsdon, who topped the team with 17.6 points per game, could pose problems for Rutgers.
